HUNT IN PARADISE

Join FE’s Mike Schoby and FE Outrider’s Tony Caggiano for a tropical adventure like no other. We will be traveling to the gorgeous island of Lanai to chase free range Axis deer and Mouflon Sheep.

Accommodations will be at the Four Season Manele Bay Resort, and will include 2 days of hunting for Axis Deer. Additional deer or Mouflon Sheep are available as add-ons, if you would like to hit the water, we can arrange for sportfishing as well. Or you can just kick back, relax and enjoy a chill day or two enjoying the resort and island.

This hunt will be extremely limited, with just 4 spots available on either of the two sets of dates.

THE HUNTING

Axis Deer Hunts

The 90,000-acre island of Lanai is home to the highest density of free-range Axis deer in the world. You can expect to see hundreds of deer daily, and will spot and stalk either in a large, flat plain known locally as “the Serengeti,” or in the steep mountainous regions. If you are a long-range shooter, you can set up at benches strategically positioned throughout the island.

Mouflon Sheep Hunts

Purebred Mouflon sheep are considered the most highly prized game mammal on the Hawaiian islands, and the island of Lanai has some of the only free-range Mouflon hunting that exists in the U.S. The Mouflon here are found in pockets of rugged terrain at higher elevations, where their rough coat provides amazing camouflage against the red dirt and lava rock.
