JOIN THE ADVENTURE…
February 12th to 17th, 2025
Join Field Ethos CEO, Jason Vincent and Outrider CEO, Tony Caggiano on a one of a kind, hunt of a lifetime in Mexico.
We will be spending a week chasing some of the largest, free range aoudad in North America, as well as wild, Mexican Fighting Bulls. There are opportunities for several other free range species, some of which you might not expect to see in Mexico.
Monster free-range Aoudad in Mexico
While West Texas is well known for great Aoudad hunting, some of the largest trophies being killed these days are coming from South of the Border -this ground in particular.
Located just outside of Monterrey, Mexico, the Candela Mountain range is home to huge herds of free range wild Aoudad. With several hundred thousand acres to hunt, our outfitting partner offers nearly 100% success on trophy rams. The muzzleloading world record was broken in the mountains last season…3 times, and we’re certain there are bigger rams out there still to be found.
THE HUNTING
The hunt is based out of a beautiful private hacienda right in the middle of the best hunting grounds.
While you may spend some time driving to your hunting areas, this is only due to the sheer size of the private hunting ground and ranches you will have access to.
Hunting is spot and stalk and can be quite demanding physically, especially if you are looking for big aoudad, so it is recommended that you are shape for this one.
Early in the season, during the rut, many of the rams will find their way into the lower reaches of the mountain ranges offering more opportunities for those capable with a long range rifle.
The Wild Bulls can be found in many locations on the ranch as well, generally offering a little less demanding stalk, but they are extremely aggressive and are considered dangerous game, so hunt at your own risk!
